Country Motorcycles

What a peaceful and free time riding my Harley from my place in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to my place in my hometown of Weekes, SK.

It’s a wonderful 3-hour trip through this part of Canada, and so great to be able to transition from the city to the country, and back again.

I personally like the best of both worlds, and enjoy the highway time on my Hog.

But it’s also good to go for a rip around the city, unless there’s a lot of road construction.

Either way I love the freedom of riding my motorcycle, the wind in the hair, and the nostrils and lungs is great throttle therapy.

Just me, myself, and my bike.

If anyone wants to join me for a rip sometime, country or city, let’s do er up Eh?!

What about Bear, eh?

I’m a Sasquatch protector, yes that’s why I coined the phrase “Watch for the Squatch.”

But you know what ladies and gents?   I think we should watch out for all of God’s wild creatures.

What about watch for the Bear, the Wolf, wild turkey, on and on and on……..?

I am from a small hamlet in northern Saskatchewan Canada, named Weekes.

I come from a long line of hunters and hang out with a lot of people who hunt.

Here is a topic that always stirs up a sometimes-heated conversation.

The Bear, why do us humans hate this creature, or are most of us honestly scared shitless of the Bear?

We know this animal could rip us to pieces easily, without our fancy weapons of course!

So, I think most hunters kill for the thrill when it comes to the Bear.

Mostly because we fear it and, then like most of us humans, we kill what we fear.

I have never killed a bear I don’t intend to, unless it’s kill or be killed.

I guess I haven’t been scared to death by one yet.

Grrrrrrrrrr

Now that things are starting to open up a bit, I’m thinking a lot about getting back down to Nashville to record some new music.

Been writing a lot with my friends from Tennessee and Texas U.S.A., and it’s been over a year since my last visit to The ‘ States.

Passing the time with long motorcycle rides with my photographer friend, Sofia.

Here are a couple of the pictures she took last week.

Motorcycles

I grew up riding motorcycles.

Most of them that I had my dad could never afford expensive ones.  So most of the time, we’d be pushing the motorcycle rather than actually riding the motorcycle.

We come from a mechanical family.  My dad would hand me a wrench and say, here’s how you do it, go to it.

Fix it on your own because I don’t want to fix it when I get home.

I first got to buy my own when I was in my 40s, I guess.  I love it.

And hot girls love motorcycles.
