Wheels to Skis Geez

Here in Saskatchewan it has been a nontypical start to winter, and I’m not complaining.

This winter our first real snowfall didn’t happen until the second week of January.

Usually we can see snow as early as October , but it mostly starts in November.

It’s been strange seeing people ride their motorcycles on the streets of Saskatoon in the first week of January, but winter is here now.

It’s now time for me to transition from 2 wheels to 2 Skis

This means from motorcycle to snowmobile, and I do like them both, but I have to say my motorcycle is my favourite.

So hey tell me what’s your favourite ride, Bike or Sled.

Either way gotta love that freedom of the ride Eh?!

Check out Sheldon’s song “Yous and Me” where ever you listen -

Sheldon in Nashville

I had a great time playing at the Commodore Grille – the first time I played there in the Nashville Songwriter Showcase.

What a blast to play with Amanda, Dennis and Pete.

Drove down with my girlfriend named Sofia who is a photographer, and got a lot of cool pictures.

Met some cool people.  A lady from Washington State was there.  We chatted with her a bit after.  She and her friend were in the front row and said they were really digging the show.

While I was in Music City, I got some great recording sessions at 522 Studio with producer and collaborator Amanda Colleen Williams.  There are lots of cool new tracks coming up in the future.

Also had a really cool show at the events center The 7695 and unloaded some Sasquatch gear.

Had a really cool drive down from Canada, but I have to say Milwaukee was my favorite city besides Nashville.

I did have a special stop off in Chicago.  I’ll tell you that story sometime.

Playing at The White Elephant in Fort Worth Texas

I was watching the show 1883 with my folks up in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan and saw The White Elephant, a bar in the Fort Worth Stockyards in Texas, U.S.A. I just played at a few weeks ago.

In the show, the sheriff character of Billy Bob Thornton shot someone at The White Elephant and Tim McGraw was in the scene, too.

My folks were like holy crap! that’s where Sheldon was.

The White Elephant website tells all about the story of the famous shoot out. Learn more on History.net here .

Thanks to my buddy Taylor Lewis for taking me to the Stockyards, and Rachel Stacy for letting me get up to play one of my songs.

Tracy and Big D

Thanks to Tracy and Big D for playing my song for country music fans in Australia on Fraser Coast FM 107.5.

I’m a fan of some of the other artists they played on this set including Clay Walker and Keith Urban. Thanks again - from Canada.

George Jones Musician

It’s no secret that George Jones is one of Sheldon’s all time favorite singers.

Known as one of the finest vocalists ever, this song “The One I Loved Back Then” shows off some of George’s signature singing licks.
