When I first heard the Pink song, “Perfect,” I was going through hard times.
I was starting my journey with recovery from alcohol addiction, my wife left with my youngest son, my family was sick of my shit, and it seemed like everyone and everything gave up on me.
I was full of self pity and feeling beat down.
I love this song, it reminds me that it's ok to live in my own skin, self love, the past is the past, but don’t forget.
The future is down the road, don’t stress, but plan.
Now is the most important, because it's certain! so I must live for today, one day at a time.
Past: let go, and let God!
Future: we might not get, but dream!
Now: live life to the fullest, everyday!
Pink is a remarkable person to me, she has a rebellious side, and so do I, she has overcome addiction, and so did I, she is a singer, musician, songwriter, and so am I.
I think she's Hot, and so am I. haha!
But seriously, I respect Pink as an artist a lot and appreciate her writing this song, “Perfect.”
Because like the song says, it’s perfect to me.
